Business end of the cable measures 9 1/4" from the end of the threaded rod to the middle of the bulkhead mounting threads. If you go for the bare cable option instead of the threaded rod, it will shorten overall length by about 4". I think I will switch to a little longer clevis (PN: 33395) plus it has a pin that is closer in size to the original rod.
